Van der Sloot: Online Poker Player & LA Poker Tour Rail-Bird

Joran Van der Sloot, the primary suspect in the disappearance of Natalie Holloway in Aruba in 2005 was attending the Latin America Poker Tour (LAPT) in Lima, Peru as a spectator when he became the lead suspect in the murder of Stephany Flores, a 21 year old from Lima. She was found dead in the hotel room of Van der Sloot. Van der Sloot has been known to play online poker at Party Poker and Titan Poker and he had won just over $12,000 at Party Poker in 2009.

It is shocking that someone can go from being a spectator at one of the top poker tournaments to then be suspected of brutally killing a 21 year old girl in his hotel room. Their are rumors that Van der Sloot was involved in recruiting girls for sexual services in Netherlands. Van der Sloot may still be able to play poker but only against inmates in a Peruvian prison while he awaits trial.
