The UIGEA is a miserable failure since its implementation in June of this year. Americans are still able to gamble online, and the offshore casinos continue to process deposits from players within the United States. Some of the Rival online casinos are offering new payment processors that are only to be used by players within the United States. These payment processors are rumored to be able to handle all banking transactions from US players. It may be that the charges do not show up as online gambling, or it could be possible that payments are being processed by an offshore bank in a country that is friendly to online gambling and willing to assist the casinos.
Their are new banking methods that use eChecks and they should make online gambling much easier for US players. These banking methods enable Americans to use direct money transfers to their player accounts from Visa or Mastercard credit cards, or write an electronic check directly to the casino from their bank accounts. While the US continues to more toward a legal and regulated online gambling industry, it’s nice to see that some of the online casinos are still willing to find new ways for Americans to gamble online without any problems.
