Everybody expected that Mayweather and Pacquiao would battle it out in the boxing ring sometime in November. After Pacquiao decided to meet the drug testing demands of Floyd Mayweather, it seemed like a fight would eventually become a reality. The fight is on hold once again because Mayweather missed the Friday deadline to sign a contract issued by Pacquiao’s promoter. It seems that Pacquaio’s camp is now looking for a new opponent. They are getting tired of waiting on Floyd Mayweather to make a decision on whether to fight or not.

Floyd may have been reluctant to sign the contract because his uncle and trainer, Roger Mayweather Jr. may be facing some prison time after his next appearance in court of August 3rd. One of the top sportsbooks has Mayweather at -160 if he fights Manny Pacquiao sometime this year. You can expect a lot of heavy betting on this fight, if and when it ever becomes a reality.

By taking time away from boxing, Mayweather could just wait until Pacquiao retires, and then start boxing again as the best pound-for-pound fighter. Betting odds at some of the top sportsbook would have Pacquiao as the winner of a fight against Mayweather or Cotto.
