MicroGaming has announced a licensing agreement with warner Bros. Digital Distribution
for the rights to use the Lord Of The Rings movie trilogy in a set of new casino slots.
This new agreement will allow MicroGaming to create a series of cutting-edge video slots
that are based on the three movies, Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and the
Return of the King. These movies were extremely popular with over $3 billion in sales.

The Lord Of The Rings movie trilogy is known for it’s award winning visual effects. These
visual effects should be expected in the new casino slot games because MicroGaming has
been given the right to use animation material from the motion pictures along with the
themes and characters. These new video slots will tell the Lord Of The Rings story.

MicroGaming launched the first branded video slot, Tomb Raider. They were quickly
overwhelmed by Cryptologic’s launch of DC Comics and Marvel superhero slots. Recently,
they’ve begun to shift their focus back to branded casino slots with the Hellboy
