Mastercard and their operatives have begun seizing funds that are destined for online casinos. In
an effort to prevent online gambling transactions using Mastercard credit cards, the company has
begun to aggressively monitor transactions for red flags that may signal online casino deposits.

One online casino has already experienced this in recent days with a set of casino deposits in one
account being seized by Mastercard while the account is under investigation. While seized, the
online casino does not have any access to the casino deposits and their is no timetable of when
the deposits will be released to the casino, given back to the player, or forfeited to Mastercard.

Online casinos are scrambling to find new credit card processors that they can count on for processing Mastercard transactions without being flagged as online gambling. Online casinos that continue to accept Mastercard deposits need to put a policy in place that guarantees all casino deposits using Mastercard, so that the player doesn’t risk having the funds seized without any credit for the transaction. The casinos are taking a big risk by continuing to offer this deposit option, and players should be guaranteed that whatever happens, their account will be credited.
