Religious Groups Target Online Gambling & Angelina Jolie

Focus On The Family is an evangelical religious group that uses their religious beliefs to try and limit the freedom of American citizens. They have always been against online gambling and they continue to push for a permanent ban on all forms of online gambling for citizens of the US.

They haven’t stopped at online gambling. Now they are criticising the parenting skills of celebrity children. Focus On The Family recently commented on Angelina Jolie’s decision to cut the hair of her 3 year old daughter, Shiloh. “It’s important to teach our children that gender distinction is very healthy,” said Glenn Stanton of Focus On The Family in a recent “Life and Style” article. Experts believe that it is only the parent’s right to decide if a child needs to have a haircut.

Focus On The Family has been a leader in the movement to prevent US citizens from gambling over the Internet. They do not want Americans to have the freedom to gamble online, and their argument often revolves around the idea that they are somehow protecting American citizens from an activity that does more harm than good. In reality, a person should have the right to decide if they want to gamble online and not an organization. Focus On The Family has some good ideas that may help society, but they want to force many of their ideas onto every one in society without giving people the right to choose what they believe and what they don’t.
