Playtech Ready To Enter US Online Casino Market

Playtech is ready to enter the US online casino market if the laws change in the near future. They believe that the US market will be dominated by local operators in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, but they are still interested in entering the market, if the possibility arises. Playtech has focused on the European market since 2006 when the UIGEA was signed into law in the US.

While Playtech is ready to enter the US market, its unknown whether American gamblers or marketers are ready to promote Playtech-branded online casinos again. Playtech was one of the first providers to abandon the US market after the UIGEA. Most of the other brands remained in the US market or they continued to service existing US players while no longer accepting new US players into their casinos. Playtech would love to see one of the Las Vegas casino operators acquire an online gaming license in the US and begin using the Playtech casino software.
