
The online casino operator, Paradise Bet, had it’s license to operate suspended
by the UK Gambling Commission because an investigation uncovered that it was
linked to organized crime. A police raid in Italy led to the seizure of assets
that totalled over $300 million and included the betting company, Paradise Bet.
This is the result of a three year investigation by Italian authorities, which
led to the issuane of 83 arrest warrants. This investigation focused on organized
crime and real estate, businesses, horses, and other property were seized as
well as the online gambling company. The Gambling Commission announced that
Paradise Bet’s gambling license would be suspended while they are investigated.
Italian authorities arrested Savino Parisi and his associates as leaders of
a Mafia family and accused them of various crimes including attempted murder,
drug trafficking and money-laundering. UK Gaming Laws prohibit any online
casino that is known to be associated with a criminal enterprise of any kind.
