Old Politicians & Online Gambling

Too many of the governments of this world are being run by old politicians without a clue
when it comes to the needs and desires of the younger generations. Politicians do not seem
to understand how the Internet works and how online gambling is an online activity that
crosses borders without any physical movement between them. People need to understand
that online gambling is an unstoppable activity that will just continue to grow and adapt.

Politicians needs to quit protecting their gambling monopolies and open up their laws to
regulate online gambling. Instead of protecting what is already theirs, craft new laws
so that the citizens can gamble over the Internet, and the government can tax the activity
to fund educational programs, college scholarships, and welfare programs to help the poor.

It wasn’t too long ago that a US Senator from the state of Alaska was quoted as
saying that the “internet is set of tubes” when debating an Internet neutrality law.
It’s the older generation that fails to understand the advances of technology and
how the younger generations desire it and need it to live their lives comfortably.

Online gambling is adult entertainment that should be accessible to adults whereever
they live. By restricting access to online gambling sites through censorship, legal
intimidation or any other method will only result in a deeper thirst for gambling.
