No Censorship Of Online Gambling In Poland

Some good news for Polish gamblers is that Poland has decided against blocking access
to online gambling sites. Just recently, we broke the news that Poland was preparing
to censor the Internet by restricting it’s own citizens from visiting online gambling
sites. The ISP’s were going to be forced to restrict access to gambling-related sites.

Poland had also planned to censor other sites that it deemed offensive to it’s citizens.
Once the people found out about the government’s plan, they formed political action
committees and used Facebook and other social networks to react to the Polish government’s
decision to censor the Internet and take away their freedom. The government heard the
people and decided to talk with non-governmental organizations. After lengthy discussions,
the Polish government has finally decided to abandon the plan to censor the Internet.

Online gambling is not legal in Poland and it still may have a tough road ahead,
but this is one issue that is no longer a problem for the online gambling industry.
Experts say that the Polish government will likely smooth things over with it’s
citizens, now that they know the citizens are angry and keeping a watchful eye.
