Legal US Online Casinos in 2011

Rumors are surfacing that U.S. citizens will need to wait until 2011
for online casinos to be legal within the United States. Their is
legislation within the U.S. COngress that would essentially regulate
the online casino industry within the United States, but it has already
been mentioned by Congressmen as well as industry experts, that Congress
has alot of issues to deal with during the last 4 months of 2009, and they
may not get around to tackling the issue of online casino gambling.

If the legislation doesn’t reach the floor of the House and Senate by the end of 2009, then it won’t be taken up again until 2010 and once the legislation passes both branches of the legislature, and the President signs it into law, their could be a waiting period before the measures within the legislation are fully implemented.

Americans that are expecting to gamble online with the official endorsement
of the U.S. government, need to have some patience. The U.S. government
could neglect the industry until a bill is signed into law, but with all
of the recent news regarding DOJ seizures of casino, poker & sports betting
funds, it looks like everything is business as usual with prosecutions.

If their was a loose prediction of when online casinos would be legal within
the United States, the best bet for any bookmaker would definately be 2011.
