Legal US Online Casino Gambling in 2010

In 2009, the online casino gambling industry has suffered from the DOJ seizing financial transactions related to online gambling, while worrying that the state of Kentucky would seize their domain names. With the year inching to an end, online casino gambling experts and players believe 2010 will be better for the industry.


Casino News Authority is predicting that online casino gambling will be legal in the US by the end of 2010. With the financial crisis coming to an end and the health care debate ending in January, it will clear up the schedule for the online gambling legislation to make it to the floor of Congress and eventually to the President’s desk.


It is believed that Barney Frank’s legislation to regulate and legalize online casino gambling will pass the House and the Senate in 2010, and be combined into one bill that President Obama will sign into law. The Treasury Department has already delayed the UIGEA from going into full affect, and that is a strong signal that the government is working together to prepare for legal online gambling.
