Las Vegas Casino Sells Marilyn Monroe’s Chest X-Ray

At a recent auction at the Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas, a collector snagged Marilyn Monroe’s chest x-rays for an incredible $45,000. This is the highest sum ever paid for x-rays at an auction. The casino expected to receive around $3,000 for the x-rays, and was surprised when they were sold for 15 times the expected price. Marilyn Monroe’s chair also sold for $35,000.

Their was other celebrity memorabilia being offered at the auction, but their was nothing as surprising as the chest x-ray. Nothing at this auction compared to the music memorabilia auction where the crystal-studded glove that was worn by Michael Jackson in the 1980′s collected a staggering price of $190,000 from a fan and avid collector. It’s a heavy price to pay for a glove.
