While some people lose hundreds or thousands of dollars, Terrance Watanabe lost over $204 million by gambling it away at a Las Vegas casino. He now holds the title as the biggest loser in the history of Las Vegas casinos, and it’s been said that he was the largest whale to ever play at a casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Watanabe is accused by Harrah’s Casino Inc. of owing over $14.75 million in casino debt that Harrah’s alleged that Watanabe lost within one of their casinos. Craps is Watanabe’s game of choice, but he may need to come up with a better strategy. When a casino player has lost over $190 million in a casino, the common practice would be to write off the remaining balance if their is a dispute. In this case, Harrah’s Casino Inc. is pushing forward to claim the $14.75 million debt.
The civil court case will begin on July 12th. Nobody knows if Watanabe will need to repay the $14.75 million debt, but everybody knows that this guy is one of the biggest losers in the history of gambling on the Las Vegas Strip. Nobody has lost over $200 million at a casino in one year.
