
Police in Indonesia has arrested two suspects in a crackdown of online gambling in the country. Two of their gambling sites were generating daily revenue of over 500 million rupiah or $55,500. A police spokesman said that the the two men were apprehended at a housing complex. One of the suspects was an agent that handled the bets between the bettors and the bookmaker.
The site administrators and the sports betting operator managed to leave the country and continue to operate the betting sites. Their were numerous items seized in the raid which included a laptop, transaction records, bank books, and roughly 495 million rupiah or $54,500.
