Greek Online Casino Gambling by 2011

Online casino gambling is something that the Greek gambling monopoly is interested in. With the financial crisis in Greece recently, the government is looking for any way to boost revenue coming into the country so that they can pay off the massive loan and get themselves out of debt.

While their are still some issues to work out before legalising online casino games, the government is ready to license and regulate the online sports betting industry. Unfortunately, its not going to happen to well after the World Cup, and probably sometime within the first few months of 2011. Greece will likely draft legislation that is similiar to France or Italy where their are strict requirements for gambling operators to begin offering online gambling to Greek citizens.
