
China continues to use it’s crushing power to hammer online gambling companies as well as
individuals within its borders. The Xinhua news agency has reported that recent operations
have seen 100 business punished for violating laws when it comes to offering Internet games,
offering pornographic or violent content, or the usage of unauthorized game servers or tools.
China has already banned the use of virtual money within the country, and the recent actions
by the Chinese government has resulted in 30 violations when it comes to virtual money and
online game regulations. It has been mentioned that the Chinese government will continue
their online gambling crackdown by going after virtual currency providers that tie-in
to the online gaming industry within the country. The government continue to ban
and censor anything that could somehow tie into the online gambling industry.
