A casino on the northern coast of Puerto Rico was robbed earlier this week. Their were four masked gunmen that entered the casino brandishing weapons and holding casino patrons and staff at gunpoint. The crooks were able to get away with over $250,000 in less than 10 minutes.
The casino robbery took place around 11pm at the Gran Melia Golf Resort in Rio Grande. Their were four armed gunmen but only one of the gunmen demanded money from the casino. Two of the gunmen worked as lookouts for police, security, or any other threats within the casino. The fourth member of the armed gang was tasked with stuffing the bags full of cash. “A lot of people were nervous,” said Hendrick Santos, managing director of the casino. “This is not common. It is not something that we experience with any frequency.”
