A recent Ipsos Reid survey of 1,032 individuals has found that Canadians have shown support for
online gambling as a form of entertainment. Approximately 55% of the individuals said that if the
government regulations were in place, that they were willing to accept online gambling within
their borders. This survey was conducted in Canada and it pertained only to Canadian gambling.

It seems that Canadians want regulated online gambling, but the industry continues to thrive with many Canadians already gambling at the online casinos even without any regulation in place. Americans have similar feelings but the US government has taken a much more extreme approach to the online gambling industry and more Americans are fearful of the government.
