Bwin Casino Group Blasts US Friendly Online Poker Rooms

bwin casino illegal online poker room

Bwin is now insisting that PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and other US friendly online poker rooms will be isolated from the US market when online gambling legislation passes in the United States. Bwin pulled out of the US market in 2006 after the UIGEA was signed into law by President Bush.

Bwin is a popular online poker room for European players, but they no longer accept US players and that makes it difficult to compete with the poker rooms that continue to serve Americans. They continue to insist that PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker are operating illegally and that
they will be unable to acquire a license in the United States once online gambling is legal.

This is likely positioning by Bwin in order to get a better footing in the US market once online gambling is legal. It is wishful thinking to believe that Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars will be completely shut out of the US market. Americans won’t soon forget which of the online poker rooms decided to abandon them in 2006, instead of fighting for online gambling regulation.
